- Hanauma Bay
Hanauma Bay ‘s ridge looks like a large dinosaur from overlook. Hanauma Bay has shallow water, small waves, many marine life, wonderful scenery, and various of coral reefs and tropical fish. Its one of the best swimming and snorkeling spots in Hawaii.
You must watch a 10 minutes educational movie before entering the bay. It tells everybody don’t feed the fish , don’t walk on the coral reef, pay attention to safely and so on. After the movie, you will go downhill to Bay for about 5 minutes, or you don’t want to walking, you can also take battery cart for two dollars. There are shops where can rent snorkeling equipment on the beach.
Matter that needs your attention, Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays. You’d better come here for early because of many people here. You may not have the parking place until 9 am.
- Diamond Head
Diamond Head is an active volcano, looks like a crater on the moon. The unique shape is the most distinctive mark of the island.
It’s a popular hiking destination for Dimond head. The mountain is not such high but the scenery is beautiful. It takes less than an hour to climb to the top of mountain. Its amazing to overlook Waikiki Beach and Oahu’s south coast at the top of the mountain.
There is dark underground tunnel and a legacy military bunker (Fort Ruger). What’s more, the local farmers markets（Kapiolani Community College Farmer’s Market）
Sells local foods and locally produce, where you can have lunch. Its recommended to try rainbow shaved ice, which is very good taste.
- Pearl Harbor
The name of Pearl Harbor was known in the world since the Second World War Japan’s sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. It is located at the south of Oahu, which is close to the Heganm joint base of the US military.
There are two places worth to visit here：one is the wreckage of Arizona warship. The Japan’s sneak attack caused the warship to sink, More than 1000 soldiers died. In memory of them, the United States build a memorial hall on the wreckage. The second one is the Missouri battleship. Japan signed the surrender agreement on this battleship. The two warships marked the start and the end of the US’s Second World War.
- Polynesian Cultural Center
All of the above are natural scenery, this is the cultural landscape. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of Polynesian culture.
You can shuttle between the villages by canoe, watching traditional Hawaiian dances, their culture and enthusiasm. You can join in traditional hot cooking activities, eating traditionally roasted pork, and enjoying the song of ‘Song of Life’.
- Waikiki Beach
Waikiki Beach starts from Kapiolani Park under Diamond Hill and west to Ala Wai Marina. It is about 1 mile and there are many visitors come here every day. There are white sand , swaying coconut trees and serene waters, which is an ideal place for family’s holiday. In addition, Waikiki has many interesting attractions to visit, such as the Waikiki Aquarium and the Honolulu Zoo. For Sunset time, you can have a dinner, shopping and watching the live shows on Waikiki Beach Pedestrian Street and the resort.
- Kualoa Ranch
Kualoa Ranch is family business, which has special mission to protest this land.
